Anabaptist HealthShare believes that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and as healthcare sharing ministry members encourage one another in making good healthcare choices, it strengthens the sharing community. While spending time outdoors can be enjoyable, the sun emits ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which can damage your skin cells. Long-term sun exposure increases the risk of skin cancer, including melanoma.


Sun Protection Strategies:

Here are some sun protection strategies that Anabaptist HealthShare encourages members to follow:

  1. Apply Sunscreen: Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or higher. Apply it generously to all exposed areas of skin, including your face, neck, ears, and hands. Remember to reapply every two hours or more frequently if you are sweating or swimming.
